Main LT Panel

LT panel is used when we have two power sources first being the supply from transformer and the other is DG- backup source. When EB supply is not available then DG- backup supply is used. Only one time one supply can be used for power distribution in LT panel.

When power supply is received from transformer and distributed for utilization purpose then it is called LT panel.. A standard voltage is used in LT panel 415 +/- 5% for equipment utilization. LT panel is used as low voltage power distribution. Power supply is distributed through ACB and MCCB.

Frequently Asked Questions

A server rack is a metal frame used to house and organize servers, networking equipment, and other hardware in a data center or server room. It provides a standardized and secure mounting platform for various IT components.

The most common standard sizes for server racks are 19 inches in width, with heights measured in rack units (U). The standard height for a rack unit is 1.75 inches. Common heights include 42U and 48U, with smaller racks available for specific needs.

The 19-inch standard dates back to early telecommunication equipment. It provides a consistent and interchangeable form factor, allowing for easy integration of different components from various manufacturers.

A rack unit, often abbreviated as “U” or “RU,” is a standard measurement for the height of rack-mounted equipment. One rack unit is equivalent to 1.75 inches (44.45 mm). For example, a 2U server occupies 3.5 inches of vertical space.

Consider the number and type of equipment you plan to install. Ensure there is enough space for current and future hardware requirements. Also, factor in cooling and cable management needs when selecting the rack size.
